  • Robert Floris CFP, AMP
    Mortgage Agent Level 2
    M08004919

Robert has worked in mortgages and financial services for more than 30 years.

After studying business at Mohawk College, Robert built his career with Scotiabank, eventually becoming an Area Sales Manager of Mortgages for Southern Ontario. He later chose to leave the bank environment and work independently as a mortgage professional, allowing him to look beyond the products offered by a single financial institution.

That experience on both sides of the industry gives Robert a valuable perspective. He understands how lenders evaluate mortgage applications and how important it is for borrowers to understand their options before making a decision.

Robert's approach is straightforward: listen first, explain the choices clearly, and recommend a mortgage strategy based on the client's individual circumstances and goals.

  • Sean Howard BSc, MSc
    Mortgage Agent Level 2
    M17001956

Sean has worked alongside Robert for many years and is now Robert's business partner.

His route into the mortgage industry was somewhat unconventional. Sean earned a Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary, followed by a Master's degree in Immunology. He taught science and mathematics before spending many years working in clinical diagnostic laboratory automation.

That analytical background translates surprisingly well to mortgages. Sean enjoys digging into the details of a mortgage application, understanding how the numbers fit together, anticipating potential problems and explaining complicated financial information in a way that makes sense.

He particularly enjoys working with first-time home buyers and clients whose financial circumstances are more complicated. Rather than simply telling someone whether they qualify, Sean believes clients should understand why — and, when the answer isn't what they hoped for, what they may be able to do next.
